cPanel Tutorial: How to modify mail exchanger?

This cPanel tutorial will show you how to modify mail exchanger entry. cPanel handles email through its own mail server software, however, by altering your MX Record Entry you can transfer your email handling to another mail server. This works typically like a domain name forwarder and will point email from one server to another. This changes the information of the servers MX records and should not be used unless a user knows exactly what he is doing. Incorrectly modifying an MX record can result in loss of email from the entire domain.

• Login to cPanel and then click on the "Mail" icon.
• Click on "Modify Mail Exchanger (MX Entry)" link.
• Enter the name of the new MX Entry in the box.
  Note: You can change the entry to a domain name and not an IP address.
• Click on the "Change" button.
