cPanel Flash Tutorial: How to access Webmail within cPanel interface?
In this cPanel Flash Tutorial we will show you how to access Webmail from within cPanel. If you want to access webmail directly (and do not have access to the cPanel administrator password) then you should go to yourdomain.com/webmail.
Webmail is a feature by which users can access their email account from anywhere using a web browser. This is especially useful when you are traveling (or using a computer that is not your own) because you can send and receive emails without having to configure an email client like Outlook Express. There are three webmail program options: Horde, Neomail and SquirrelMail. Choosing one out of those three is a matter of personal choice.
Steps
- Login to cPanel, click on Mail and then on "Add / Remove / Manage Accounts".
- Click on Webmail next to the account you want to access.
- Type in the password and login to Webmail.
- Click on the icon of your favorite email program - NeoMail, Horde, SquirrelMail - to view emails in your Inbox or to send new ones.
Ensure that you log out of webmail when finished. If you do not log out, another user of the same computer may be able to access your emails. Always avoid using Webmail and an email client like Outlook Express simultaneously as this can sometimes lock your account on the server for a short time.
