cPanel Tutorial: How to change your current directory?
The File Manager allows you to manage your website files and content through a GUI (Graphical User Interface), so users can carry out day-today tasks of site management using just a web browser rather than an FTP software. You can do a lot of stuff like, uploading, creating or deleting files, organizing files and folders, and changing file permissions. File Manager is a free GUI and gives you all the basic functions required to manage your site.
This cPanel Tutorial will show you how to change your current directory in File Manage. Since your website files will likely be in many directories, it is important to understand how to move to a directory that you wish to work in.
Steps
- Login to cPanel and then click on the "File Manager " icon.
- To move to a directory or folder, click on the icon next to the directory name.
- To return to the previous directory you originally were in, click on "Up one level".
